  1. What a great man. Was loved by many people and will be missed by many. I would like to pass my condolences to all the family and wish them all the best in this hard time. And Sharon please hold your head up high because I know that’s what your father would like. Please be strong.

  2. Tony and I first met in kindergarten at St. Paul’s catholic school, Dulwich Hill in 1955. We became mates then and stayed mates until his death. Tony’s mother, brother Steve and sisters Sue and Lorraine are all people who I have always liked and held in high regard. Tony’s wife, Helen passed away many years ago leaving their three children Sharon, Tracy and Trent and their extended families to look after dad, which I believe could be a bit of a challenge at times.
Along came Jenny, another wonderful woman who brought the smile back onto Tony’s face and remained his partner and closest friend until his parting.
Tony and all of our mates, male and female, spent what I believe to be the best era and happiest youth growing up in Hurlstone Park ( affectionately known by us as Hurlo).
Many stories could be shared about the shenanigans experienced by our mob during our teenage years. I reckon a few might come out later today over a beer.
Slowly however surely these mates are starting to pass (must be something to do with our age) and here we are again today to say goodbye to a beautiful guy, Tony.
Goodbye mate. I’ll love you forever.

    1. Beautiful tribute to my big brother Anthony.
I enjoyed growing up in that era in Hurlstone Park.
Anthony was a dedicated friend, husband, partner & father to his family.
He was always loyal & reliable.
I was so proud when he ‘gave me away’ at my wedding to Eddy in 2020. I saw him as the head of the family & my beloved brother.
      I’ll miss you being there
      Susan

  3. I am Anthony’s cousin and spent a lot of time with him when we were kids and unfortunately not so much as we became adults and built our own lives and families. I am saddened by his loss as I know he was a very fine man and wonderful in supporting his family and friends. I send my condolences to his family for their great loss, as I know this will hurt. I saw first-hand just one example of Anthony’s caring character when he provided much-needed support for his own father prior to his father’s passing and before that of course, and I know how much that meant as his father told me.

Thanks Anthony. You were a really smart, dedicated, caring and resilient man. You will be greatly missed.

  4. It’s with great sadness that I am unable to attend Anthony’s funeral. I have been reminiscing recently, as you do at times like this, on the wonderful times you all had as children, living with Mum & Dad (Nana & Pa), Uncle John, Uncle Brian and myself. You enriched our lives and there was never a dull moment.
Florence was so proud of the wonderful man you became, how you dedicated yourself to your family.
In more recent times I looked forward to your trips up for Coolie Rocks and have cherished our phone chats where you filled me in on your trips to the hospital and how you have baffled the medical team yet again.
Rest now my precious nephew, your fight is over and now there is peace

  5. To Anthony’s family and friends I am very sorry for your loss. Even though as cousins we didn’t really get to know each other well whilst growing up,I have always been aware of his very caring nature. It is a very sad day for you all and I hope you can find comfort in each other and your shared memories.

  6. Farewell Anthony. I’m sorry I cannot be at the celebration of your life. I’m in Europe at the moment, holidaying with your cousins Sandra and Luke. Like, Fran, I have fond memories of your days at Hurlstone Park and watching you grow and the milestones we all share and remember. I was so glad that i had some precious moments with Anthony when he was in hospital to share reminiscences. He will be sorely missed by his family and many others. He can now share with his Uncle John their mutual love of cars. Rest now Anthony!

  7. Only met Anthony a couple of times but we treated each other with respect. Heart-felt condolences for Anthony’s family and friends. He will be missed but celebrated. Rest in peace Anthony.

  8. I am Anthony’s cousin and I too didn’t spend much time with him until a chance meeting with my late husband brought us together. I really enjoyed getting to know Tony and his beautiful family. He was very supportive after my late husband’s passing. Rest in peace Tony, you were a great friend. I am thinking of the family and sending love and hugs xxxx
