I will always remember Poppy as a very beautiful, elegant lady. We met her through my aunties Adri and Jose who have been very good friends for life. Poppy welcomed us when we migrated from Cyprus. Dimi you were just a little girl and always beautiful. May your mum rest in heavenly peace, she is now with your lovely dad. 🙏💕🙏
Thank you Jose 🙏 your family was very special ❤️ your aunts and my mother, father and Frankie spent many wonderful times together, especially when they all lived together in Ashfield where they became great friends.
Thank you so much Josy ❤️🙏
She was a warrior woman to me. Tall, strong, opinionated. Elegant. She would buy beautiful outfits from Chatswood. In her Volvo, waiting patiently near the closest entry, for someone to leave their parking! She wasn’t going to park at the back, she wanted the front spot! I would say something she didn’t agree with and she would say in her deep voice, “ah, stupid”. Arriving for a visit after a long absence and the first words would be “you’ve put on weight”.
I loved that woman.
My grandma was a beautiful woman, both inside and out. She was loving, kind, caring, and endlessly supportive. She was always there for me, no matter what, and her warmth and wisdom left a lasting impact on everyone who knew her. She had a sharp mind and a radiant spirit that will live on forever in the hearts of those she touched.
One of my most cherished memories of my grandma is the way she would always kiss me on the cheek. It didn’t matter whether I was leaving for school, university, work, or heading out for an outing—she never missed the chance to show her love in that simple, heartfelt gesture. When I came back home, tired or full of stories to share, her kiss would be waiting for me, a warm reminder of how much I meant to her.
Those kisses weren’t just routine; they were her way of expressing care, pride, and affection. No matter how busy life got or how much I had on my mind, her embrace and that tender kiss would make me feel grounded and loved. It was her way of saying, “I’m here for you,” without needing any words.
Even now, I can still feel the warmth of those moments, and they remain etched in my heart as a beautiful reminder of the bond we shared. Her love was constant, unwavering, and unconditional, and those small acts of kindness, like kissing me on the cheek, meant the world to me.
My Grandma had an incredible sense of style, always wearing beautiful outfits that reflected her vibrant personality.
She was a hardworking woman who excelled in everything she did. She ran a successful cafeteria business in Randwick, where her dedication and work ethic shone brightly.
She took on the challenge of running a prawn farming business, showcasing her entrepreneurial spirit and resilience. She truly led a full and meaningful life.
Grandma’s legacy is one of love, strength, and inspiration, and her presence will forever be cherished.
I will miss my Grandma deeply. It’s heartbreaking to know that she is leaving us and this world. Her absence will create a void that will be hard to fill. I will miss her presence in this beautiful house we share, a home that she filled with love, warmth, and countless memories. Her not being here will be a difficult reality for me to face, and life will never quite feel the same without her.
Farewell, Nanna. You will be missed forever. I love you more than words can express, and I will carry that love in my heart for the rest of my life. I will miss you every single day, forever and ever.
As you leave this world, I find comfort in knowing that you will rest in peace, reunited with your beloved husband, your brothers, and the other cherished loved ones you’ve longed to see again. I imagine the joy in your heart as you reunite with those you have dreamed of being with once more.
You have given us so much love and left a legacy of kindness, strength, and compassion that will live on in us. I will always treasure the memories we shared and hold you close in my heart. Rest peacefully, dear Nanna. You will always be loved and remembered.
🙏❤️🫂😔💕
Thank you Samuel ❤️
Everything you say is so true. Our visits to Chatswood will never be forgotten. Thanks for the memories Jenny 🙏
